I introduce this song as hopefully the beginning of a new tradition of Irish Non-Drinking songs. It's the winding story of my recovery. The title is a play on my ancestry as the ire in me that was once necessary to bottle up comes from Cork county. The Isle of Iona is a small isle off Scotland near Findhorn that was a ceremonial center for the Druids. Kathleen the Silky Selchie Seal is my new wife. |

This is a song about the mystical dimension of our strange age which is called the Kali Yuga by Hindus. This is the time of greatest darkness and destruction, the time when it's hardest to find and nurture love and light. It is also the time of fastest transformation and enlightenment if you can manage to hold onto divine unity and embrace all the chaos and polarity without being swept away by it. |

The is the first true love song I've written. I used it to propose to my now wife after scrambling through the dark jungle one night and climbing to the top of a Mayan temple in Tikal, Guatamala. Later I sang it at our wedding. |
