This is a live performance of my 1991 Hit "I got paid to take you to prom." For those who have never heard the original recording, this song is a true story about what happened when I was in 11th grade and I got paid to take this girl to her senior prom. She was not bad looking or anything like that, instead her date, a college freshman, backed out a couple of weeks before the Prom. Of course, at the point there are very few people left who don't have dates for their senior Prom, so she was in danger of not going. I was a junior and didn't have much interest in Prom, so I wasn't planning on attending. Instead I was just going to hang out with the Smackers. So one of her friends, who happened to know me, called and asked me to take her to prom. I told him that I didn't want to go because Prom was expensive, so he said that he would pay me to take her to prom and .... Well just listen to the song. |
