This is a light-hearted song that looks at a saying my father has always used when asked how he was doing. He'd always say "I'm in pretty good shape for a man my age and the shape I'm in."

This song was written for and dedicated to my grandmother, Minnie Lee Martin, who suffered from a dabilitating stroke which left her in a nursing home for 4 years prior to her death. The song was written about 6 months after doctors had given her less than 24 hours to live. It was the first time she smiled since the stroke. This song basically wrote itself, I just happened to be holding the pen.
