Tack is driving, pulsating, guitar-driven rock. Hendrix meets the Chili Peppers in a dark Tijuana bar.
Unconventional guitar techniques played by cutting-edge musicians create the Tack sound. Tack is:
Colin Edwards: Vocals/Guitar. Former frontman for seminal LA band Bay of Pigs, Colin writes songs that spew forth life experiences from a twisted and cynical mind.
Gary Ferguson: Drums. Gary has played with everyone from Larry Carlton, John Hiatt, Ray Charles and more, providing the pounding rhythm that drives the band.
Rick Cox: Guitar. Rick's experimental guitar sounds have been heard on recordings by Ry Cooder, Jon Hassell, and several movie soundtracks like Shawshank Redemption and Lost Boys. Rick's stylings are unique and edgey.
Chas Smith: Pedal Steel Guitar/Original Instruments. Inventor/Composer Chas has performed with Joe Strummer, Harold Budd and many more and adds texture and ambiance to the Tack sound.
Eric Havrilesky: Bass. Eric brings highly evolved and pulsating bass tones into the tack mix to make for a solid backbone to this extrodinary composite of talent.
