Update 10/26/03: Just got done with the second rehearsal of The Keith Groover Power Trio. Things are going well. I'm hoping we can play our first show in December and then see how it goes from there. We're working on most of these songs plus a few new ones. Should be fun. Update 2/01/03: No mo' free music now, let's see if I can bypass "The ManŽ". All you have to do is right click on the song that you'd like to download and click on "Save Target As". If it doesn't work, try clicking this link first: Follow Me The Mire of My Design/Choice Only Hope Maybe I'm Not (Actually I'm Sure) Wasted Moon And the Joy Falls Down This is for the Time Wait We'll see if that works ****************** Update 1/18/03: I guess MP3.com has moved the deletion day to Jan. 31st, so all my peeps out there can still download at will. Yo. ****************** Update 1/15/03: Welp, the day has come. I saved the link addresses to the MP3s, so I'll see if I can Jerry-rig something. ****************** Update 12/19/02: Well, it looks like I'm going to have to find a new host. MP3.com is changing their service around so you can only have three songs. I don't know, I guess they want to "make money" or something. Anyway, I've decided that for the next three weeks I'll give away all of my songs for free. Hopefully some of you will get to hear the whole album if you haven't been able to before. It's all right here, and I've even put it in album order. Merry Christmas, everyone. ****************** Update 11/6/02: Wow, this page is really ugly now. I feel like I should be a Georgia Tech fan or something. ****************** Just so you know, the "Contact" section on the page here won't let you contact me. I can't seem to update my now defunct USC email address with my new Brushy Creek one. Also, and again, just so you know, you can now email me at keithg@brushycreek.org. Welp, I'm in the preliminary process of doing some thinking about planning to maybe do another album. I'm hoping to do something a little more soothing to my compositional demons, who are telling me that they're showing some early signs of rigor mortis. They need to get out and get some exercise, maybe start breathing deeply while walking around the grounds. In other words, I need to write something a little less, um, soothing. I want something with a greater emphasis on musicality, where songs aren't written via the process of "here's a two-second guitar riff--that'll be the first three-minutes" then coming up with a catchy chorus, throwing it in between a couple of hooks and calling it a day. I want something that people won't say "now that I've heard this, my life feels exactly the same." I don't like any bands that sound the way that I want it to sound, so I can't give you much more of a reference than that. In the meantime, enjoy the album. I hope that you like it half as much as I've enjoyed writing, recording (except for the drums), mixing, and mastering it. In case you like it, you can order it right here.. Four of the songs are available on this page, and another four you can listen to on the CD page.
