This is a sort-of fairy tale song. It’s my version of the evolution of my relationship with my wife, Sharm El’. Sharm El’ was born in Port Sulfur, Louisiana, which is a sparsely populated tongue of marshland where the mouth of the Mississippi River pokes out into the Gulf of Mexico. |
