A simple live unison melody interplay with the guitar and vocals. The Bass, Hammond and Rhodes were then overdubbed for a complete track. this is an 8-track demo created while jon and brad were putting together a new band. the new live version replaces Rhodes and Hammond with dave playing accordian, some subtle drumming in the instrumental passage, with jon and colby pushing and pulling dynamic extremes only hinted at on this recording. |

A lilting ballad emphasizing the acoustic guitar, a shuffling rhythm and intertwining electric guitar. Vocals and guitar recorded live. Percussion, bass and electric guitar overdubbed by Jon. What stated out as a guest vocal appearence by Colby turned into a precursor of what was to come. Colby joined the band shortly thereafter. |

A stark arrangement of a traditional country waltz. Recorded live in spring of 2000. The new live version includes Dave on accordian, and some nice harmonies from Colby. This song is often broken out spontaneosly in the sets, reserved for an audience that can appreciate an older country style. |
