Hello! Franz Liszt (1811-1886) is one of the greatest composers, teachers, and virtuoso pianists the world has ever know. In writing the piano pieces found on this page, I fantasized that I was a great 19th century composer, just like Liszt. I studied some of the same texts and music forms he did. The name Liszt Laughing? is my observation that in most of his pictures and portraits (the ones I have seen anyway), Liszt has such as serious look on his face (and that may purposefully be the "genius artist" pose - just like I used on my pose to the left - HA!).
So, if Liszt were laughing, the whole world would be upside down. Just like a guitarist (like me) composing piano music. On a computer even. But, musical creativity, tied with the knowledge of music theory, does not have to be bound by physical limitations (the ability to play the instrument a piece is composed for or on). Especially in the computer age. Enjoy! Check out my MP3 CD...Check out my FULL STEREO CD on CDBABY...Like my music? Try out my station Liszt and Friends!

"Stolen From Cöthen" in English. Cöthen is a city in Germany where Bach spent a portion of his adult life. According to history, this is one of the happier periods of his life. But, while Bach was away on a trip, his wife, whom he had left in perfect health, died suddenly. I think this piece captures some of the emotion he might have had upon learning the news and dealing with it afterwards.
This piece is a toccata/fugue with 5 parts in the Bach form: (toccata/fugue/adagio/fugue/toccata)
