Artist History
With a unique and refreshing rock sound, reagan is starting to make a name for themselves in mid-Michigan. Formed in Brighton late 1997 by Pat Smith, Brian Bonenberger, and drummer, Joe Conchola, reagan? started off as three high school freshman playing covers in Pat's basement. A year later, with a couple of small shows under their belt, reagan? put up an ad for a lead singer. A few emails came in and the band answered one from Sarah Brosch because she was the only one who used punctuation in her response. Sarah played her first show with reagan? in January of 1999 and later that year, the four recorded nine original songs with producer, Gene Fiero for a CD titled, "She uses punctuation." The band sold a few hundred copies of the disc, which they printed and burned themselves. In the spring of 2000, reagan? played their last show with Joe, who left due to creative differences. The three remaining members went back to the studio later that year (with the help from drummer, Donn Deniston) to record some new tracks and re-record some old ones for a CD to be titled, "All The Way From Allen Street." The CD was finally completed in December of 2001 and released in January. Over the four years the band has been playing, they have been featured on 89X (88.7 Detroit), The Zone (94.5 Northern Michigan), NWMC radio and MSU radio. They have played all over the state of Michigan in places including Ann Arbor, East Lansing, Kalamazoo, Traverse City, Flint and Lansing and have opened for big names like Deep Blue Something, The Contours and the Grammy-nominated, Smalltown Poets.

Press Reviews
"Well where should I start, Reagan? has to be one
of the most modest and humble bands I have seen in
quite some time. While researching the band, I
read up on some info found on their web-site
www.reaganband.com, and was impressed with the
lack of "rock star" attitude you find just about
everywhere you look nowadays.
The music is well composed, and the lyrics are
well written. The newly released c.d. entitled
"All The Way From Allen Street" seems to be a
great achievement for their "sophomore" journey
into the recording business."
-Sound City Magazine
"Like a cool glass of fresh spring water, reagan? serves up an unadulterated and refreshing innocence that quenches my thirst for organic melody without additives or preservatives. In the song "Free" from their debut CD "All the way from Allen Street," the delivery and performances seem so natural and effortless as to suggest singer Sarah Lynn Brosch is singing to herself in the privacy of her own bedroom as the music surrounds her like a cozy blanket, the implied soundtrack to her wistful life. Not since the advent of Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians has pop music seemed so Girl-Next-Door and Naturally Sweet."
- Mitch Phillips
"...Allen Street is definitely not a sophomoric production, with 10 full length songs acoustically mastered to perfection...It's a wonder how much the band has an ear for exquisite arrangements. ["Untitled"] is reflective, resolute, and excruciatingly soulful, projecting an ambience of blues influence within stretches of the vocalist's ballad. Sarah Brosch, the vocalist, is truly talented...["The Pop Song"] proves the true abilities of Brosch to project herself in angelic proportions, a gift of her varying voice, which helps the lyrics meld into the composition...Overall, Reagan?'s new album is crisply produced yet chillingly intimate..."
