Artist description Singer/songwriter Janet Bratter tours the USA in her multi-colored "Bratmobile" RV, performing original Americana folk songs, ballads, blues, rock 'n roll, and a few carefully selected cover songs. She sings about love, life, the human experience, history, travel and politics. Janet's style is characterized by her stunning vocals and profound lyrics. She accompanies herself on acoustic and electric guitar and harmonica.

Artist History Janet Bratter began performing in the coffe houses of Georgetown and Washington, DC, and has toured much of the Eastern and Southern US, especially New Orleans, Miami and central North Carolina. She performed at Carnegie Hall with the group "Emporium" in the 1980s. She was a winner in the 1996 Friends of Florida Folk song contest. She currently has tracks on the compilation CD "Butterfly on the Wind," and is working on her on solo CD project. Some of her songs are played on public radio station WUNC (Chapel Hill, NC) and she is currently performing at music venues in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro/RDU area of NC and recovering from endrometrial cancer.
