    Artist description
Combining in-your-face music with serene, yet often tortured, vocals, Hedspace brings a whole new twist to the metal scene. With influences that range from one spectrum to the other, this is one metal band you don't want to pass over.

    Artist History
Hedspace was originally formed in the summer of 1998, but has since gone through major line-up changes. In November of 1999, Hedspace was revamped with a much more diverse lineup, including new vocalist Crystina Gaines, bassist Curtis Ellison, and drummer Mike Bulmash. The new Hedspace continues to pummel the Mid Atlantic states with it unique sound and energy.

Taken from www.nosebleed17.com:At first listen, Hedspace took me by surprise, it wasn't what I expected to hear. The vocals were the first thing that really jumped out and grabbed my attention, the beautiful voice of Crystina Gaines. Then, before I even had time to get used to her, this voice warped into a gut-wrenching, full-force growl. The vocals remind me of a perfect melding of the grace of indie band, You're Pretty, and the ferocity of the now well known bands Kittie and Earth Crisis. The music behind the vocals is also attention getting, and has a style similar to other bands, making it sound familiar, but still it produces a sound all of its own. Bassist, Curtis Ellison, acts as an anchor holding down the sound, while guitarists Jerry Bailey and Paul Day work together on catchy riffs and flowing rhythms throughout each song. Drummer, Mike Bulmash, provides those great beats which keep the sound moving and he mixes both light elements of a little hip-hop and hardcore into a blend that fits like a glove with the other members. This is their first CD released since their new line up, and it consists of four songs, "Waste Away", "Ignorance", "Perverted (The World Can Wait)", and "7 Minutes", and is a very good first effort. They have a original sound, especially because of the vocals, but it's not so unique that people would be turned off by it. In my opinion, this CD would definitely be worth the effort and time of purchasing the CD, so stop by the site and get it. Visit the official website - Hedspace Nosebleed17 Rating: 9/10
