Rhe De Ville is a 'screen siren vocalist' whose lush, highly stylized sound has been likened to Helen Merrill, Marlene Dietrich, and Sarah Vaughan. She is quickly gaining recognition from listeners all over the world, noting her uniqu e voice with a style all its own: one that is equally familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. EMPIRE STATE RADIO naturally evolved from the successful performance duo of torch singer De Ville and pianist Felipe Riveros. During the last few months of 19 9 9, they found themselves a magnet for a family of musicians, including bassists Jonathan Flaugher, Daniel Fabricatore, and Bob Bowen; saxophonist Michael Dopazo, and acclaimed drummer-percussionist-tabla player Danny Weiss.
