Artist History
edge to life, formed in 1998, was initially a collaboration between Farhan Kazmi and Daniel Wellman blending elements of rock and electronica. The duo wrote and recorded songs and created a demo CD of their material. Included in this CD was the band’s drum ‘n bass cover of The Church’s 1988 hit single "Reptile". Upon hearing about the new electronica approach taken with "Reptile," The Church invited edge to life to a 1999 concert. During the band’s current promotional campaign, the songs "From Afar", "Quiet" and "Reptile" have been requested and played on college radio. In addition, "From Afar" has charted in the Top 5 of its genre at MP3.com, and "Dreams" has charted in the Top 40 of its genre. |
