Artist History A musician's existence, much like life itself, often takes strange twists and turns before arriving at its final destination. Prior to forming the band, the members of D-FOR often found themselves on the same gig or session. No matter the genre, be it jazz or R&B, the musical and personal chemistry between them was immediately apparent and in the spring of 1995, this group of seasoned musicians met in a Woodbury, New Jersey basement to discuss this unique chemistry. Within 6 months, they knew they had struck upon something special and began to develop a sound that was uniquely their own. Given the fact that everyone's (well, almost everyone) first name began with "D", the name "D-4" seemed natural, if not unique. Now, almost 5 years after its inception, D-FOR proudly presents " The GIFT".
