Artist History Cephid was started about 2 years ago, when they played their first show (a six-song set) at a house party in the RVA southside. Since then, they have written almost 25 songs and played numerous shows around the Richmond area. They have recently gotten more regional recognition and have played on bills with bands such as Strung Out and The Mr. T Experience. All of the members have been with the band since the beginning except the drummer, who joined the band in the Fall of 1999 when the original drummer quit to go to college. They have released one full length CD and are working on a new E.P. to be released this spring. A song from the new disc, entitled "Getting to You," will be featured on an upcoming Ruckus Records compilation as well.
