Artist History The original duo met, recorded, and performed together as members of the early 90's successful funk/metal band Mister Strange. When Mister Strange went their separate directions, these two friends combined forces to create an original sound. In the fall of 1998 Chris Scharl, formerly of Melting Picasso's, added a touch of diverse rhythmic spice to the mix.

In the fall of 1998 Chris Scharl, formerly of Melting Picasso's, added a touch of diverse rhythmic spice to the mix. wally & blue's debut album entitled " ripe" (1996) combines emotion- packed lyrics with rhythmic guitar lines leaving a lasting impression on the listener. The unique play between guitar and vocals weaves a powerful and passionate fabric of songs. More recently the band completed their second and more elaborate recording entitled 'a handful of hope' (1998). Released in August, this detailed CD showcases a wide range of percussion by former Mister Strange drummer Eric Wiegert. 'a handful of hope" escalates the sounds of wally & blue to a new level, highlighting their strength, depth, and ability to grow into new directions. This is an album not to be passed up! Since that time wally & blue have been performing and recording tracks for a feature-length film soundtrack to be released in the spring of 1999. When asked to describe the music of wally & blue one can grope for vague categories like rock/folk with a slice of alternative, but more likely fans will just site the band's uniqueness by saying with a smile,"...They sound like wally & blue!"
