Artist description
The music of Tarador is hard to classify, but if it had to be forced into a genre or maybe create a new genre, it would be called "Island Folk Latin Progressive Classic Rock"; it's a whole mixture of different styles. In the music can be heard influences from Santana, Jimmy Buffet, and countless others. John Hulick's poetic guitar phrasing has been compared to that of David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Also worthy of mention is the presence of P.K. Lavengood, a witty guitarist who is perhaps underused in the band. He has done shows in Bloomington, Indiana, executing guitar stunts reminiscent of bassist Les Claypool of Primus. The band's eclectic talent flows and melts together, creating a unique sound that's hard to shove into any category. |
