Artist History
Safe/Mode was started as an idea by Scott "What's With the Halo?" Baker and Russell Weiss. At the same time, Scott was tired of everything in his area being generic techno crap and the act of mixing existing songs together. It just so happened, Mark Warren was posting some of his newest adventures into music onto mp3.com at the same time. Scott was intrigued. Mark was flattered. Scott asked Mark if he was interested in doing 'the band thing' and Mark was. They met. They ate spaghetti. They started recording some songs, and they were cooler than spaghetti (yes, that cool). Russ decided that he'd persue other things, and Mark & Scott became the band. Oh, there was a time when there were like three other people in the band for a grand total of about 34 seconds. Now Safe/Mode is recording an album. Dig. |

Press Reviews
Scott's mom likes it. Tim Skold (MDFMK) thought our demo tracks were cool, and sounded like 'movie music'. |
