Press Reviews
Listen.com Review: A quick equation for you: Smooth Jazz piano + R&B influences = Joe Sample. Many have gone on to use this equation, including Ivor Humphrey. His stripped down melodic style, also brings to mind the early 1980s recordings by Bob James. Humphrey's tunes may not reek of originality, but they are pleasant and well recorded. Many of his upbeat numbers aren't that much different from what is now being called Acid Jazz. The magazine came with a cover-mounted CD featuring 30 tracks in mp3 format from Vitaminic, and "Night Flight" was chosen to be featured. MP3 Magazine: Night Flight "this is cosmic jazz at its best and its most original." ******************************************************************************* MP3.com Featured Latin Jazz Song: Brazilian Nights "Here is a very popular jazz artist from London that has put his superb talent to use in creating this tune. Ivor has got to be one the best artist in his foggy hometown. Give a listen to this innovative composition of Latin Jazz." Featured by: Krohn |
