Artist description Exhausted Prayer is a band dedicated to creating brutal, melodic, original, disorientingly fast music. The instrumentation consists of two guitars, drums, and bass, each manipulated by Heist, Swansong, Mike, and B.J. respectively. All members share vocal duties in order to express their collective rage concerning the manifestations of ignorance in mankind. The current incarnation of the band has existed for 3 years and has performed at numerous venues, including the Whiskey a-Go-Go and an appearance at the "November to Dismember" metal festival in Los Angeles. The band has also performed on college radio (KXLU Los Angeles) twice. They have produced innumerable demo recordings since 1996, the best and latest of which is entitled Involutional Melancholia. They are most likely to be pigeonholed as black metal by those who seek such meaningless categorization, but as one examines the music closely, a varied background of influences is readily apparent. They stand adamantly against the trends and capitalism of the music industry that brings forth the uncreative and mind-numbing filth on the radio and MTV. But enough superfluous information, let the music speak for itself! Anti-jump metal.

Artist History Formed originally in 1996 with Mike, BJ and Songsong on bass and guitars. Exhausted Prayer was basically a few kids from Los Angeles with a shared misanthropic perception who wanted to contribute to the metal scene. Within a few years, with the addition of Heist on guitar and Mike moving to the drums, we came into our own musically. We are currently a cross between black, death, and thrash metal. We strive to be as fast, intense, and original as we can be, and we are open to playing as many shows as possible.
