Artist History
Working as an independent artist for a number of years, music has become a focal point of all my work. There are such massive projects such as "Havia" that take on many of the mediums I work in and more musically oriented works such as the up and coming album "A Notebook Of Uprisings". My music started in the experimental vein with early albums such as "Vojna: Ender's Music" but an increased interest in western pop music lead me closer to a more complete and listenable sound. |

Press Reviews
"No, you have to listen to Schmudde's two CDs - "Vojna: Ender's Music" and "After Vojna" to even begin to remotely understand what he is doing with sound, sights and feelings. To me, for instance, "Shattering My Constructions," sounded, well, like Pink Floyd and King Crimson taking a journey through the dark spaces of the solar system contained within a radio transmitter. Or, well, something like that."-- Rick Wade, Peoria Times-Observer"David Schmudde achieves things that have never been accomplished, or even attempted.""Comparisons aren't possible, as David Schmudde, the man behind Vojna, paves a new pathway with his music"-- Grinding Into Emptiness"I have to admit that Vojna does have an edge that allows me to enjoy it."-- Wrapped in Wire"Vojna has taken the time to extensively draft each composition well in advance so that each piece stands as a work of art on its own rather being thrown together at the last moment."-- Sonic Boom |
