Beth's music has been described as "quirky, poppy, smart acoustic rock." With her clear, honest voice, witty lyrics, and varied arrangements, Beth offers a collection of bright, catchy songs. Her tunes don't fit neatly into folk, pop, or indie rock, but cross genres, adding bits of country, punk, even Latin jazz.

    Artist History
A native Mainer, Beth stepped into the vibrant Boston music scene a couple of years ago with a 4-song EP, which was quickly placed in heavy rotation on college radio stations in and around Boston and as far west as California. In 2001, Beth was signed to independent label Virt Records and began record her first full-length album. Beth's song, "Elusive Thing," has been newly arranged and recorded for the forthcoming album, "Mess You Up," (1/03) which was produced by Pete Prilesnik (Sarah Harmer, Great Big Sea, Ashley MacIsaac) in Boston and Toronto, and features an all-star lineup of musicians, including Kurt Swinghammer (Ani DiFranco), Luke Doucet (Sarah McLachlan) and Gavin Brown (Sarah Harmer). Beth has been playing clubs and coffeehouses throughout New England, New York, and the West Coast, with her "ridiculously good-lookin' band" featuring Jehu Goder on bass (Crash22), Andrew Doolittle on guitar (Bryan Graves), and Jeff Lien on drums.

    Press Reviews
"These are real nice songs...fleshed out in ways both subtle and deceptively complex. The vocal phrasing, especially, is impeccable...from what I've heard, this is as good as it gets." -The Noise "It's pretty tough to not develop an appreciation, if not a liking, for Beth Boucher after hearing this CD...she has conjured up some of the catchiest folk/pop ever heard." -Boston Soundcheck " Beth Boucher's debut is very catchy and instantly likeable. She is a talented woman." -collectedsounds.com
