Artist History In 1986 and under the name of the walk, two tea servants formed a band which would go through many changes before recording their first LP. With the music of the time as a starting point, and an urge to create their own, Steven Munar and Miguel Pérez although inicially from different musical backgrouds, started composing songs for a still uncomplete band. Their functions inside soon became apparent: Steven would play guitar and sing and Miguel opted for bass. They were then quickly joined by Helio Díaz and J.A. Mesquida on drums and keyboards respectively and played their first gigs. During this productive period, five demo tapes were recorded all of which were well received by the musical press - still relatively scarse in those days. Some of their songs were included on CD compilations and fanzines (The Reserve ´zine) and by this time they would witness the musical boom of the early 90’s. the tea servants were born in autumn 1994 in Palma de Mallorca. After recording their 1st LP as a trio The Tea Servants – Grabaciones en el Mar) a new drummer and guitarist (Iñaki Ferrer and Sergio Fuster) both from the local band El Hijo del Pescador, joined the tea servants. In 1996 and after having moved to Barcelona, they played live presenting their set in Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid, Bilbao, Pamplona and at the Benicàssim and BAM festivals. In October a second LP was released; Police looking after thieves (Grabaciones en el mar) which obtained good press reviews for their live shows as well as the record itself. A homage to Frank Zappa "Unmached" and another compilation "Ruido2" were also released during the same year. In spring 98, the tea servants went back to the studios to record their own cover version of Live and let live in a homage to Arthur Lee (Love). Their 3rd LP The Sound of the Tea Servants. Greatest Hits Vol I was released the same year in October and includes four new tracks and a compilation of the first two records and until now unreleased material. At this point Sergio Fuster, former guitarist began work as a producer and set up a studio on the island of Palma de Mallorca, putting an end to his career in The Tea Servants. As a result of this change, Miguel would take over on guitar and Juanjo Onofre (previously Something and Parkinson DC) would play bass
