    Artist History
RICKETS (or "RICKETS MADCORE") came into existence on a warm, sunny day in September of 1998. Thisfour peice band based in Madison, Alabama is growing fast. With their brain-smashing, stomp-in-your-face sound,RICKETS will have you "jiving" to tunes such as their popular "'84 Swing". Just when you think to yourself,"They call this heavy?!" RICKETS will kick in your skull with songs like "Shoemaker Levy-9" and their ratherinteresting style of "Reading Rainbow".Their live performance can't be missed. If vocalist Yutang isn't running through the mosh pit breaking noses,fifteen-year-old drummer Robo-Todd will amaze you with his young talent and heavy, insane beats. Along withYutang and Robo-Todd is the clearly psychotic Atticus on bass and multi-colored guitarist Leroy Jackson.Guitarist Leroy Jackson had played in several previous bands and decided to get together the "hardcore" band hehad always wanted to start. Leroy's creation (and brother) Robo-Todd had been wacking the skins for a few yearsand had also played in other bands with Leroy. They both concluded that Robo-Todd would be the new band'sofficial drummer. All that was lacking was a vocalist and bass player.A few weeks later, Leroy was crawling through a desert in Southern Libya scavenging for food and water. He cameacross a stranger wearing a red, sequen dress that claimed to be a Jedi Knight. This man was very friendly butintimidating to Leroy. He introduced himself as RICTOR Van JOITY and began to scream a lovely rendition of"Love Me, Love Me" by the Cardigans. This was exactly who Leroy had been looking! It was at this time whenRICTOR decided to be the new band's vocalist and eventually changed his name to Yutang.Leroy, Robo-Todd, and Yutang got together and started collaborating on some material. Everything was going fineexcept for the fact that there was no bass player. Things just seemed empty without any low-end. A fellow friend ofthe three, Atticus, was currently playing drums for the glam-rock band DRAHOLIC. Atticus has had some previousexperience with playing the guitar, but almost none at bass (despite the fact he owned a bass). Leroy talked toAtticus and asked if he would like to give a shot at playing bass for this new "hardcore" band. He agreed, broughtover his bass, and everything went from there. Before long, the new band "RICKETS" developed their own uniquestyle of hardcore, gospel, new age, and booty bass which fuels the local music scene in their nice, little hometown ofMadison, Alabama.
