Artist description
Taking influences from the early 90's dreampop movement, more current triphop and electronic bands, and alternative standards like U2 and The Cure, Red Badge Moment is edgy, passionate, and experimental. The resulting music ranges from driving guitar-effected rock/pop to trance-like flowing instrumentals. |

Artist History
Red Badge Moment's first performance started as an invitation - Barry McCabe was asked to open live for several local bands in Indianapolis. With minimal time to prepare, but many songs either finished or in the works, Barry quickly adopted the name Red Badge Moment, and accepted the offer not only to perform but to follow through on creating a solo project based around his own songwriting. The first show was simplistic - vocals, guitar, effects processing, and some tape looping, all done solo by Barry. However, as the project grew, it evolved a need to acquire more musicians for live shows as Red Badge Moment played out more and more. |

Press Reviews
A recent quote from earBuzz.com: ". . McCabe morphs the chord progressions into each other, with the touch that the Edge of U2 would be proud of. Guitars blur together to create an atmosphere of wonder." For the full review of Red Badge Moment's last CD EP, 'Terra Incognita', goto: http://www.earbuzz.com/redbadgemoment |
