Artist description
What is it that sets Mitch Speed and Mendin Fences apart from all of the other country music bands out there today? Original songs they have those talented and energetic musicians they have those a lead singer with a voice that is deep, smooth and honest as a hard days work they have that too. No what sets this band apart from all the others goes way beyond those things simply put they are friends making music for friends. When these boys set out to put this band together, they put the fans at the top of their list of priorities. As Mitch puts it, When folks come out to see one of our shows, I want them to go home at the end of the night knowing that they are a part of Mendin Fences. Whether its pulling someone out of the crowd to come on stage and sing a song with us or staying after the show a few hours to talk with them, they need to become a part of who we are. Because lets face it, without the fans we would not be here! And from that, the fans, or Fencemenders as they are affectionately known, were born. Radio stations play Mendin Fences music because they know an honest and real thing when they see it. Mitch Speed and Mendin Fences were not conceived by some slick talking promoter. They were brought to life by honest men with a deep love for country music, and a burning desire to entertain. So stop and take a listen, better yet, become a part of Mitch Speed and Mendin Fences. You will be happy that you did. |

Press Reviews
Ray Grundy of Metro Country says:The album kicks off with a song that first introduced me to the music of Mitch Speed & Mendin' Fences, after I listened to it at MP3.com. "It's Just A Matter Of Time" is a catchy two stepper, written by Mark Fly (the albums producer, who had a hand in writing every song on here) that will have you looking forward to hearing the rest of the CD. We stay in uptempo mood for "Daddy's Gotta Go," an extremely catchy tune that is bound to be popular with the linedancers, this time co-written by Mitch with Mark Fly. The song tells of the heartache a marriage breakup can cause, when there are children involved. This is a terrific song, that has you reaching for the repeat button!! First of two ballads on the album, "A Hundred Miles Down The Rio Grande" is a song co-written by Mark Fly and Rod Lewis, that tells of a man returning home after having to leave to fight in the war. "Unconditional," a story of falling in love for the first time, is the other ballad on here. Other tracks on here are "You Could Never Tell," a story of being used by a woman to make her ex jealous, (I wonder how many have been there!!) "More Than He Bargained For," that tells of finding everlasting love, and "She Ain't Said It Yet," another very catchy song, this time with some great rolling banjo, that had me once again reaching for the repeat button!! At the beginning of this review, it states that Mitch Speed And Mendin' Fences are dedicated to entertaining their audiences, with country music at a level parallel to any artists within the industry. After listening to this excellent debut album, I have no doubt they have achieved that! The only disappointment is that it only contains 7 tracks, and had finished just as I was getting to enjoy myself. I suggest you get over to MP3.com and take a listen to some of them. You won't be disappointed! Excellent!! |
