Artist description We like to think of ourselves as a blues-based rock n' roll band with a contemporary sound. Our music is very song oriented,but we also really enjoy improvising over a good groove. We havebeen told we have a very unique musical character, and I would certainly agree.No one else sounds quite like us, and that is something we are very proud of.

Artist History Although Molasses has been performing and recording in the Chicago area for the last coupleof years, Christian Collin and Michael Casey (the core members)have been playing together since they graduated from highschool back in Detroit in 1991. The band released a critically acclaimed E.P. entitled "Sonic Blues" in 1998, and also released a self-titled E.P. last year.Look for the new Molasses album very soon!
