Press Reviews Rawness of punk is precious By FISH GRIWKOWSKY Edmonton Sun WORST 20 MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE Chick Maggot Hopping into an Easter theme, Chick Maggot's Roy Sasano spends most of his time under a pair of fuzzy rabbit ears. It's true.  Thus, for an Edmonton punk rock, they're pretty cute.  Reminiscent of Degrassi High's school band, Zit Remedy, Chick Maggot strays through typical stuff, except they make fun of themselves pretty much constantly. If I Grow Up I Want to Be an Anarchist is such a great song, and comparisons to later SNFU are impossible to dodge, and not because they have an Asian singer, dude. S*** S*** S*** F*** F*** (actual song title) displays them at their most show-offy, while Ballad of the A**Hole Band has a grand hard rock segue into One Chord Rock, which says it all.  While being constantly silly, they thankfully stay away from Weird Al campiness; plus, Sasano can sing. The rawness of punk is precious. Embrace it or die.
