Artist History
Our history is very simple. I met Dan during the first week of college. He had an acoustic guitar
and I had just acquired my first set of drums two weeks earlier. We liked some of the same bands,
we hated the same people (everyone), and we both liked to drink, so we came up with the stupidest
name we could think of and thus, one of the greatest dysfunctional bands ever to come out of
Fitchburg State College in the early 90's was born.
Dan is a lyrical genius. Well, if you like dark comedic soliloquy about drinking, loveless sex,
sexless love, and the irony which is life... then yes, Dan is a lyrical genius. All the words are
Dan's as is most of the music (hey, I'm not blaming him... I'm giving him credit, but I can
understand your confusion.) My role was and still is to do everything else and bitch about it.
With the exception of a six week period one summer when we weren't talking, the band has always
been Dan, me, and... whoever I could con into putting up with us. Half the time we were a two
piece, half the time we were a three piece, and the other half a four piece. John Hunt was the most
talented of any of us (and his dad fed us a lot), Rod Murphy was our gateway to freak heaven and
by far the most entertainingly irritating instigators I've ever known, and Sean Keneally was the
poor man's genius who took the most abuse from us.
We shot a lot of videos, got a ton of press, played a lot of shows, recorded ten times the amount
of songs found here, fought about the dumbest shit everyday, and squatted in a rent-free apartment
just off the college campus for four years. I don't know if we ever showed up for a show,
recording session, or interview even close to sober (which in retrospect is kind of pathetic, and
now we all see how it might of possibly held us back a bit.) With all the crap taken into account...
I never met people with greater respect for one another, who laughed harder, or loved playing
more than us.
Collectively there is exactly one million and three people to thank, and if I tried to start listing
you... I'd have a brain fart and leave some important people off. But anyone who's ever lugged
our crap, driven us to a show, gave us film to shoot, fed us, put us up in their house, pulled me
off the other guy in a fight, bought Dan a drink, hid me from the cops, bailed us out, slept with
one of us... well, you know who you are and we can't thank you enough.
Thanks Pepsi, we did love you.
