Artist description ATKM started in the early 90's as a hard rock outfit, until the release of Fates Warning's album No Exit. We then decided that we would not be tied to conventional rock and would break out doing what we wanted to do.The songs on this sight are from the most stable line up.A four piece consisting of vocals, guitar,bass, drums.We play whatever makes sense at the time. BIO: ATKM Perpetual motion.... Countless changes acompanied with occasional silence.PROGRESSIVE ROCK maybe.... maybe not . Regardless this is what we do . Diverse? Yes. Proficient? Maybe. Emotional? Definetly...We try to be ourselves in our music. Some times we are agressive yet strive to let the music breath. Taping our practices is a way to step back and get an outsiders view. Playing live is what we live for. That is the point for practice..... to play live. As a four piece band our singers voice is as important an instrument as our singleguitarists wall of sound. In this format the bassist is required to carry more melody lines than usual.The drummer is our anchor for solid rythm and firey breaks. The influences of this band are diverse, ranging from seventies art rock to eighties metal to jazz fussion, yet cloaked in a unique aproach to modern rock. As a band we are much stronger together than on an individual basis. Chemistry has kept this group driving forward for years, dedication to challenging normal ideas on music,stereotypes, censorship, and life will keep it together for alot more.
