Artist description
Straight up! Thumpfluid is nothing but raw musical energy. A no-bullshit, balls to the wall metal band from start to finish. Feel the grinding metal riffs that'll make your hair stand on end, and big low grooves to even out the flow of thunder. |

Thumpfluid
Independent
Ohio's Thumpfluid brings the pain with their self-titled independent record. The cd starts off fairly unimpressive actually with a typical nu-metal sound. It rips through the fist few songs and you bob your head to the groove a bit but nothing had really grabbed me as extraordinary. Track 5 ("What We Want") was the first track to really grab me. The vocals change here from the sort of grunt like nu-metal voices to a more spoken voice that switches back and forth with the nu-metal voice and the diversity grabbed me right away. From this point on the cd gets great! I was really surprised because generally albums trail off from midpoint to the end. That is not the case here at all! The band showcases some major talent here with the diverse vocals and a more straightforward, Pantera like, approach to the music. The band rips through the second half of the cd like they were the victims of some twisted hate crime and were lashing out against all of society! Not many bands can just bring it like Thumpfluid does , so they are definitely a band to check out if you like nu-metal bands like Disturbed or bands that just pummel you like Pantera and Motorhead.
