The Sleevers' guitarist, keyboardist, bassist, and known to add trombones and percussion, Billy Glasser, is a surviving member. The Boogie Breakers, an SDSU group that went from a dormitory group to playing small cafes, and popping up at several beach clubs of California. The Boogie Breakers were all for San Francisco clubs becoming The Sleevers, but Billy soloing, and not into public performances at the time, took his axes to Asia, South of the USA, Jamaica, where he was hired by a start up group to play rhythm, bass, guitar. And took a liitle bit of reggae back with him to mix with his surftremetal rhythms. The last standing member of The Sleevers-the rest quit and went separate vistas-he he brought a little bit of global sounds back with him to mix with his surftremetal rhythms.. |
