Artist History
Phil Davis is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. When Phil is not collaborating with his local group, The Phil Davis Quartet or multi-genre band, The Chronicle, Phil is performing with such artists as Will Downing, Jonathan Butler, George Duke, Rachelle Ferrell, Gerald Albright, Alex Bugnon, Boney James, Najee, Walter Beasley and Dionne Farris. Phil has also performed with Jennifer Holiday, the late George Howard, the late Art Porter, Phillip Bailey, Angela Bofill, Reggie Codrington and Regina Belle to name a few. Phil's additional accolades include writing "Night Drive" on Norman Brown's "Just Chillin'" CD, producing 2 of Kathleen Bertrand's CD's, All Of Me and No Regrets, producing new Atlanta upcoming artist -Heston-, writing the title track on Boney James' new album, Body Language ; writing and producing two tracks on the late George Howards' album, Midnight Mood (Exodus and Silent Thoughts); writing two tracks on Alex Bugnon's new album, "As Promised" (Scirocco and His Coolness); and doing production and performance on three tracks of Al Jarreau's latest CD, "Tommorrow Today". |
