Artist description
Pat Kelly was born into the music industry. His mother (Collis R.) was an acclaimed jazz singer in her homeland of Jamaica W.I.in the 50's and 60's and appeared in the James Bond classic "Dr.No".
Kelly's uncle (Johnny Williams) was Canada's first all night DJ and helped the careers of entertainers ranging from Tex Ritter to Sarah Vaughn and Jimmy Durante to Rosemary Clooney (George Clooney's aunt). Kelly's father was one of the few included into the exclusive Rat Pack clique and was often seen singing and entertaining with the likes of Tommy Steele, Frank Sinatra, Lorne Greene, Johnny Wayne et.al..

Artist History
Kelly has been writing, producing and performing since 1977. He's performed in the studio and on stage with Ross Harwood (Blue Peter, Dan Hill, Luba, The Game, Invent the Game), Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople), Mick Ronson (David Bowie), The Temptations (at the breakfast table in Jamaica, W.I.), Wild T, Acosta/Russell and far too many great new wave Toronto bands in the 80's to mention. Did voice over work for 2001 MTV pilot, "The War Next Door". Working on new album and writing songs for other artists. Kelly plays piano, guitar, drums, strings, bass, some horns and percussion. |

Press Reviews
November 2003: 8 Song CD 'The Works-Volume 1' released. Limited release at gigs and by internet order. Sept 2000: Kelly has national live to air feed for soon to be released "Give Love". Songwriting royalties donated to the Breanna MacPherson Trust Fund. 6 year old Breanna's mother died from breast cancer.
1990's: Kelly starts doing voice over work for Toronto radio stations, goes into the studio and starts writing song after song.
1980's: Kelly was front man for bands: After Ours, Creative Options, D.I.P., at Rock & Roll Heavens gig with Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson (David Bowie), Roy Young, Ross Harwood, Steve Jones(Sex Pistols) and members of Def Leppard.
1970's" Kelly played flugel horn for Maynard Ferguson and 60,000 people in his early teens. |
