Artist description Matt Yee is Hawaii's favorite cabaret star whose solo shows regularly sell out. He is an ASCAP award winning singer, songwriter, pianist and comedian. He's also one of the few Asian American recording artists who tours nationally regularly. Artist History Matt Yee was born and raised in Honolulu and still lives there when not on tour. He learned to play piano at the age of three and began writing songs not long thereafter. He received both popular and classical training, including a scholarship for voice at Dartmouth College. He also went to graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia before returning home to Honolulu.
