Artist description
Coupling raw talent with pure energy, Groovy Cool has been ripping through the Tampa Bay area with an arsenal of original rock tunes, an energetic stage show and a faithful following since late ’96. With influences like Tom Petty, The Replacements and The Stones how can they go wrong? Guitars that scream, "I'm vintage!" and tube-tones that make you want to touch yourself are only two reasons to keep an eye on this foursome. The songs are maturely written by front man Butch Ryan, who has affectionately been referred to as "The Redneck Danzig" by various reviewers, and speak of life, love and everything in between. Groovy Cool has recently released its second full length album entitled "Who died and made you Elvis", an 8 song CD that maintains the bands reputation for creating "classics in the making". From slower, anxiety-filled ballads to the all out rockers, Who died and made you Elvis takes you on a rock-n-roll-a-coaster that climaxes with the last track "Morphine", perhaps the most rockin' tune on the album. Groovy Cool proves that when you combine excellent musicians, catchy tunes, lots of energy and a dash of humor, you've got a band that's not only tight, but also fun to watch. ...see 'em at a venue near you. |
