Artist History
Grasspig began in the summer of 1997 as a lo-fi experiment into indie and electronic music. The first five albums were all recorded on an analog four-track machine. This choice was taken to push the artistic side of recording with limited options. Then in 2000, Grasspig recorded its first digitally mastered, hard-drive recorded CD (Sunny, Mid-70s). The key to the recording of this album was to maintain the 'air' of the analog sound while gaining many new options in digital. In 2001 Grasspig recorded a 4 song ep entitled "Central Plains". This album was the last project before moving from Chicago to Providence, RI in 2002. Currently there is a new album on the way sometime in 2002/2003. |
