Artist description It's me. I do everything. I'm a control freak. Don't touch that! In my spare time, I'm also a famous detective. I've only recently gotten into the electronic realm of writing music, and I remain fairly oblivious to the different styles which exist, so forgive me if you can't fit my music into neat little compartmentalized genres. Just listen, and (hopefully) enjoy. Lyrically and musically, some of this serves as a catharsis, some of it is just stream of consciousness.I've decided to make some of my music not available in hi-fi, since the list was starting to get unwieldy. However, I'll be rotating the music now and again. If you want to hear some of the other tunes, click on the DAM CD links up above; you can hear the lo-fi versions. If you like one of those songs enough that you'd like to hear the hi-fi version, let me know and I'll make it available. I figure there's no point in trying to get people to buy what they're just going to steal with Napster instead. I've placed my price for my DAM CD's at the lowest price point possible, so maybe, just maybe, someone might consider supporting an original artist doing something just a little different. Could that someone be you?

Artist History Fenton Hardy is a lifelong songwriting and performance project. I have been writing music which crosses many genres since my youth, and continue to occasionally pen a tune which surprises me. I've been a songwriter for as long as I can remember, as well as a contributing songwriter and performer in several bands since I was 15 years old. I'm currently a member of the female-fronted prog-pop band Second Story. The Fenton Hardy project allows me to unleash my less commercially viable material to the public. It's liberating to be able to write without the constraints of an audience's expectations. I hope that you find the results to be worth the effort.

Group Members "Fenton" - everything, from vocals to programming to recording to guitar/bass/etc. If it's on the tape, I pretty much did it. Though there are some "stock" drumloops. But how many artists do you know that make all of their own paint from scratch?

Instruments Sequencing, sampling, guitar, bass, drums, noise, voice, angst, computer mouse - anything I can get my hands on to put what's in my head to tape. Any MIDI-generated instruments are recorded using one of two pretty un-special sound cards.
