From opening shows for the likes of Johnny Lee, or being nominated by the California Country Music Association as Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the year, country singer Chris Anderson is proving to be one of Southern California's fastest rising stars.Born in Alton, Illinois and raised in Orange County,California, Chris has been hooked on country music since the age of eleven.In the early 1990's Chris formed the band Pony Express, which went on to be one of Southern California's most sought after bands. They Played and toured over 200 days a year. In 1993 Chris Showcased at the Sweetwater in Nashville and appeared on thier live radio show. In 1995 Chris left Pony Express to pursue a solo career. Chris immediately began playing the largest and most popular nightclubs, honky tonks and venues in the L.A. area. Including the World Famous Crazy Horse. Since 1995 Chris has been one of the most in-demand demo singers and works regularly at Marty Rifkin Productions. The No.1 Country demo studio in SoCal. Chris has also been writing and building his own catalog of great country songs.Chris has recorded two songs for the Orion Pictures/HBO feature film "RETROACTIVE"; starring Jim Belushi, released in the summer of 1997. Later that year Chris began working with noted producerand songwriter Lawton Jiles, whose songs have been recorded by Patsy Cline, Janie Frickie, Porter Wagoner and others.Chris has a rich baritone voice and cites George Strait, Conway Twitty and Charlie Pride as the major musical influences in his life. |
