Artist description
The band's name explains what these guys' philosophy towards music is: "BASIC IDEA", just pure handmade music, no bullshit or crap. They write/record/produce/mix their compositions themselves in their small homestudio "The Artist Lounge". The main objective is the groupsound, no time for egotrippin'. Having had no musical education, they tasted life on the road, though currently BASIC IDEA is concentrating on writing and recording stuff. Looking out for a record deal, eventually. |

Artist History
Born in the wrong country; theoretically formed in 1990; some group members changes; playing local gigs; recorded two demo-CD's in 1995; decided they could do it better themselves and got out "Kalamazoo", their first self-produced recording (with very limited equipment) which brought them in Belgium's biggest rockconcours; currently concentrating on writing and recording new material. Nice ideas to blossom if given the opportunity... |
