Artist History
Barney performed for many years with Smoky Coconut, a blues band with a large following in central Indiana. The Nut often performed with a horn section led by legendary Indianapolis jazz/R&B saxophonist Jimmy Coe. Since the Nut's demise, Barney has been marketing his sizeable prtfolio of songs throughout the country. He performs frequently with a top-notch band of veteran musicians. Barney is also a music journalist, writing for various magazines and web sites. He is a Contributing Editor at Suite 101.com, where he maintains a page on R&B History.
