Artist History The genesis of ZONE 13 was back in 1988 when vocalist Bobby Strickland and guitarist Vance Rockwell started writing and performing music together. The next nine years would test their mettle, as their groups kept disbanding, but Bobby and Vance held true and continually rebuilt together. ZONE 13 morphed many times before arriving at the current line up. The latest changes include the addition of drummer Wayne Smith in 1997 and bassist Matt Prieto in early 2000. Wayne and Matt have been together on and off since 1986, supplying a strong rhythm section for several Maryland bands, and now come together again in ZONE 13.
