Artist History
Prolific for a band that has been together 3 years; Welcome has over forty originals in its repertoire. Welcome's brand of esoteric yet dancey music has gained the band devoted audiences and critical acclaim. Songs such as "Pen to Paper", "Like a Star's Microphone" and "Spark Explodes" had listeners taking notice; not because the members were so young, but because they were having such an incredibly good time with what they were doing.Page recording artists Welcome have just completed recording a second album with production genius Laurence Currie (Gandharvas' Sold for a Smile and Sloan's One Chord to Another) at the helm. The new album, "Like a Star's Microphone", will consist of songs that capture the energy of Welcome's live show and is set for release in February 2000. |
