Artist History the Wish is a three piece group founded by artists Brandilyn and Jon Ross, and backed by an awesome musician, Heath Jacobson on drumms. While Brandilyn presently writes, arranges and produces the material, Jon equally supports the three piece with his knowledge of Mixing, and his Engineering skills. (he's not half bad as a bassist, either) Heath, well, he say's "it's all in how you hold your stick". The truth is, the three are equally great in what they do, and that is what makes 'the Wish' so great.

For fans of atmospheric new wave, the Wish is carrying the torch for melodic Goth music. The Wish, an Oklahoma City band featured on Mp3.com, will perform at 7 p.m. today at the Diamond Ballroom, 8001 S Eastern. A three-piece group featuring Brandilyn Wellington on guitar and vocals, bassist Jon Ross and Heath Jacobson on drums, Wish has become a popular group at the download site, which features digital music by unsigned artists. The group's sound is reminiscent of early Cure, and the Wish's cover of that group's "Love Song" is available in a techno remix at the site. Other tracks, such as "Half There," are reminiscent of the "shoe-gazer" movement spearheaded by groups such as Lush and Curve.
