Artist description
We like the environment and we like to rock! We're a band with good intentions - being pro the environment, animal rights and human rights. We like to experiment with sound, and seem to be going through a mostly instrumental phase at the moment. We like to incorporate our beliefs into our music, as well as including a healthy slice of eccentric humour now and again. We don't like the establishment, and governments which put money before human rights, i.e. most of 'em! Rock the establishment! |

Artist History
Began in 1984! The band really came out of Peace & Freedom magazine, and several lyrical/ poetry projects involving Andy Bruce, Paul Rance, and Tarrere Jennings. That was 1984-85. Members came and went over the years, and included such underground luminaries as Andi Xport (of APF Brigade/Man's Hate/I.S.C. Tapes fame. The current line-up of Bruce, Rance, and Andy Savage, came together in 1988. And their quirky brand of eco rock was about to be born... We've released loads of albums, each pretty different. 'Cedric', released in '91 was a rock opera about the poll tax, and the '97 album, 'Universal Love', had a more gentle feel. Half of that album got played on a Barcelona radio station, so dunno if that meant it was only half good! Andy Savage appeared on a British TV show, in '98, singing a song about soccer, so, yeah, we're a bit detached from the mundane mainstream! |

Group Members
PAUL RANCE: Danny Baker once said of him: "He's not a mainstream man is he?!" Lived next door to Independence Day/James Bond composer David Arnold when both were boys. "I've lots of tales to tell..." Paul says.
ANDY SAVAGE: Was in The Mirror in the mid-'80s reading poetry naked in a jacuzzi as a publicity stunt. Later starred on the live Channel 4 sports show, Under the Moon, with a France '98 song - and threw the producers by changing the rehearsed lyrics midway through the song...

Press Reviews
We've had a few, but too few to mention. We scare journalists big time, because we confuse them, and ourselves. |
