Artist History So in the wake of the Seattle explosion a million of us foolish Midwestern teens retreated to garages and basements, secure in the belief that power chords, fuzz boxes, and a healthy dose of stage presence outweighed any considerations of talent or training. I was one of these, playing "lead guitar" just as the guitar solo became distinctly unfashionable, although my singing and writing soon grew to take center stage. After the members of my high school band, "The Ego Trip," went our separate ways, I have been focusing on more melody-driven, acoustic-tinged music.
