Press Reviews
Zero Magazine San Jose, CAJuly 10-August 10/2000JULY 22nd, 2000Orange Peal Records , Scooters Pizza & ZERO MAGAZINE Present: TheOrangeSpot.com SessionsIndie Music Showcase on Saturday July 22nd *Stage located at SCOOTERS PIZZA Saturday, July 22ndEugene, Creamsickle, Sand, Love Daria, Dynamo Hum, Simon Stinger, Sugar SpunThe official party starts on Saturday at noon and let me tell you what you are in store for. This is a action packed day of some of the best talent that the Bay Area has to offer. We have been talking about Simon Stinger in Zero constantly for the last year because they put one of the best live performances around. This will be a great day to come check the opening bands as well. Eugene has only been together since 1999 but have a new school pop-punk sound that has been winning them new fans every time they play and with a crowd like this they better have a lot of merchandise at on hand at the Orangespot. Love Daria has three CD’s under their belt and have been playing the S.F. club circuit for years, we highly recommend this band. Also playing is Sand and Sugar Spun, both of which have released music on Orange Peal Records. Both bands are a treat to watch and are like ear candy, for the listener. I’m looking forward to seeing the out of town guests Dyanamo Hum who are coming down from Southern California to play the show. All of these bands where hand picked by Orange Peal Records head, “The Robfather,” to play the festival , so come out and support the local bands and a local label that has been working his tail off to make sure this show will not soon be forgotten.http://www.zeromag.com/jul00/liveshowpreviews.htm |
