Artist description
Just imagine Trevor MacDonald, Trevor Brooking and Trevor Nelson sitting down for a discourse on ‘necrophobia’ after an appetizing evening meal with the sounds of Shirley Bassey and Nine Inch Nails tinkling happily in the background...this is Michaelis Constant. |

Artist History
Rich, Damaj and Tutall had been working together for over two years as ‘8th Element’ when they stumbled into Thinking and Log at a Birmingham hip-hop open mic night in October 98. Thinking had just moved back to England from the US where he had been performing with DPS, and Indianapolis-based rap group. Dj Log started scratching over ethereal breakbeats in 95, slowly building a catalogue of distinct scratch techniques and humorous samples. All three emcees are dedicated followers of Jesus Christ and are not timid in expressing their faith live and on wax. About the name: the Michaelis Constant is a term used in the mathematical analysis of kinetics, but ultimately they just liked the sound of it. |
