Artist History
Deborah Vial has successfully been pursuing a solo career for the last 6 years. After extensive touring (Germany, Iceland, Finland, Korea, etc.), she chose to depart from her band, Blanche Fury, and strike out on her own. She has opened for Lisa Loeb in 1995 and 1996 at "Life Walk", Gino Vanelli and Keiko Matsui in 1998 and during the spring of 2000 she has opened for such notable acts as The Nixons, Beth Hart and Tara MacLean. Deborah Vial released her first solo disc of sultry grooves in the summer of 1999. The CD entitled Stretcher has sold over 2,000 copies and is available at a wide array of markets and music stores as well as on the Internet. Deborah had the pleasure of opening up at Lilith Fair this summer and performed on the main stage during the grand finale alongside Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Trish Murphy, Bif Naked and Luscious Jackson. Public Broadcasting Systems (PBS) created an Emmy-nominated series entitled "Deep In The Arts" which spotlighted Deborah and her music. The series, which continues to run, was first aired in February 1999. Deborah expects to release a full length CD in May of 2001. |
