Artist description
Deeply rooted in thrash metal, this album represents channeled anger in a heavily structured environment. From attacking numbers like This Problem and Infight, to dynamic cuts such as The Anomaly and The Cartel, and complimented by power-funk songs like WW IV. and Crack-Head Curtis, "Neckbreaker" touches a lot of bases, while keeping a definitive over all sound. Concussion also credits a number of influences: Slayer, Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Testement, N.W.A., Sepultura, Machine Head, C.C.R., Vision of Disorder, the Offspring, ZZ Top, S.O.D., Hate Breed, the Beatles, and Over-Kill. While establishing a very recognizable sound, Concussion has created a menacing, brutal sound that due to structure is easy to listen to. So, in closing, it looks like "rock" just took a swift kick in the ass. Please feel free to download our title track and see for yourself. |
